Professional Weaver Podcast

During this podcast we will be answering your questions, or finding weavers who can, and interviewing amazing professional weavers about their career, how they got where they are, and what makes weaving special to them.

Our Origin Story & Questions Answered! As told at the HGA's Careers in Textiles Symposium

We have been keeping ourselves busy these past couple weeks, working with clients, getting stuff done at the spinning mill, and giving presentations about what we do.

This week we wanted to continue the conversation about how we got to where we are and take the opportunity to answer some questions along the way. We are sharing the audio from our presentation at the Careers in Textiles Symposium that was hosted by the Handweavers Guild of America this past Friday.

In case you missed it and the other fabulous talks from other industry leaders, check out the website weavespindye.org/cit to watch the videos of the presentations. It was an honor to be selected to speak along side of some amazing designers and business people in the textile field.

If you are an aspiring professional weaver, please feel free to reach out to us with your questions. And like always, if we don’t have the answer, we will get you in touch with somebody who does.

We will be back with our regularly scheduled programming next week, so stay tuned, and stay curious.
